Saturday Slaylist 22/10/2016: TRC

TRC circa 2015

Having featured their most recent album in my list of 10 Underrated British Metal Albums, I thought I’d shed a little bit more light on my favourite London lads: TRC. Their unique take on hardcore is imbued with a distinct sense of swagger and style that is hard not to dislike, especially when their tongue-in-cheek humour comes to the fore. What has really set the band apart from their peers is their use of two vocalists; Anthony Carroll provides your typically scathing hardcore shouts whilst Chris Robson has an approach that’s half rapping, half spoken word, and all attitude.

For this week’s slaylist I’ve hand-picked a selection of bangers from their two albums (2011’s Bright Lights and 2013’s Nation), as well as their most recent EPs (The EP and The Story So Far). Suffice to say, you will not be disappointed with what’s on offer here.
