25 Most Anticipated Releases of 2017 (Part Three)

Featuring Fit For An Autopsy, Oceano, August Burns Red, Dyscarnate and Wage War.

Fit For An Autopsy “The Great Collapse”, March 17th

Having shown a newfound willingness to experiment with dark atmospheres and clean vocals on last year’s Depression Sessions split, it would seem as though Fit For An Autopsy have big things planned for their upcoming The Great Collapse. That doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten how to bring the heavy, as new single “Heads Will Hang” sounds like Gojira being ground into dust- monumentally heavy.

Oceano, TBA

Although there has been no official announcement yet, Oceano vocalist Adam Warren let slip in a Facebook live stream that this year will see a new album, tentatively referred to as ‘Album X’. He’s also confirmed that he’s currently working on lyrics as well, so expect the band to hopefully come back stronger than ever towards the end of the year.

August Burns Red, TBA

August Burns Red’s last album, Found In Far Away Places, was an unprecedented success for the band, which saw them receive a Grammy nomination for their efforts. Trying to top such a bold and varied album is always going to be difficult, so fans will surely be intrigued to hear how the band fare as their material looks set to follow the style of Rescue & Restore.

Dyscarnate, TBA

Despite being fairly quiet throughout 2015 and 2016, UK death metal legends Dyscarnate are back with a new line-up and a new album. It seems as though their own brand of groove-laden death metal savagery isn’t leaving anytime soon as the band describe the new material as their “heaviest and most varied offering to date”.

Wage War, TBA

With a new album expected around summertime, Florida’s Wage War are busy working on material for their as yet untitled offering. Fans who enjoyed last album Blueprints will be pleased to hear that the band will be continuing in a similar vein to their last work, and will retain their brilliant blend of hard-hitting riffs and soaring choruses.
